Payment and Conditions:
All bookings are confirmed for required dates upon receipt of a deposit of 25% of the total safari cost, of which 10% is non-refundable. The balance is payable at least 45 days prior to departure. If cancellation is made more than 6 months prior to departure date, the 25% will be refunded less the 10% and any other obligatory payments, which may have been made. If cancellation is made within 45 days of commencement, a fee of 50% of the total will be charged. We recommend that you take out some form of cancellation insurance.
The Safari period starts on the day you arrive in Nairobi and includes the day you return. Final quotation is subject to the itinerary agreed upon. Should exceptional circumstances arise, including but not limited to, currency fluctuations and fuel costs, we reserve the right to alter our quotation and itinerary.
Insurance:
We strongly advise insurance to cover illness and cancellation. We cannot be held responsible for any accidents, injury or illness that you may incur, or for any loss or damage to property.
Passports and Visas:
Each individual must have a passport valid for at least 6 months after completion of the Safari. Entry visas must be obtained for Kenya, Tanzania and other African countries that you plan to visit. It is always worthwhile checking with your nearest Embassy as to the current requirements if in doubt.
Vaccinations:
A yellow-fever certificate is required for entry into Kenya and Tanzania, cholera shots (also for Tanzania), meningitis vaccine, polio booster and of course malaria pills are advisable. However, it is best to consult your Doctor or an International Travel Clinic for up to date recommendations.
What to bring:
It is important to note that invariably people always over-pack for safari! It is worth remembering that there is a daily laundry service in camp and in most hotels. One soft 'duffel' bag is best plus one bag for holding your camera, binoculars and other items for daily use.
We recommend casual and comfortable cotton wear on safari, preferably not brilliant colours or white as these colours alert other people as to our presence but also disturb some animals. Earthy colours, shades of browns and greens are preferable, avoid black and really dark colours as they attract insects. |
