Safety First
Keep us informed
Your safety and well-being is paramount. For this reason, we ask that you provide us with the following information so that we can plan accordingly:
- What do you and don’t you eat?
- Allergies?
- Mobility impairments?
- Any other health-related issue of which we need to be aware?
Check-up before you travel
We recommend that you visit your doctor well in advance (4-6 weeks) of your safari to make sure you are up-to-date with the necessary vaccinations and medications.
- Go to www.cdc.gov/travel/ for current information about the required vaccinations for the areas you plan to visit and consult your doctor
- Kenya and some other countries on the continent of Africa require immunisation against Yellow Fever – you’ll need to bring the yellow certificate with you
- Ask your doctor about the latest anti-malarial drugs, we recommend that you take the precaution of using this medication
- Bring a basic first aid kit of your own; although we carry fully equipped first aid boxes in the vehicles, you might enjoy the autonomy of having your own plasters, anti-histamine ointment, and tummy medicine
Common sense applies
- Please take care of your valuables
- Remember that wild animals are wild
- Avoid being out alone after dark – in the bush and in the city
