| Kenya has much more to offer than great wildlife however. Have you ever considered climbing Mount Kenya or Mount Kilimanjaro? Both of these mountains are equally dramatic with varying levels of difficulty. Mount Kilimanjaro is Africa’s highest peak and the highest free standing mountain in the world. It offers unparalleled views of the great Tanzanian plains. The climb up Kilimanjaro is a stiff walk and you will have to be relatively fit.
Fishing is another undiscovered pearl in Kenya’s activity list. Why not try fly-fishing for trout in the stream and pools on the slopes of Mount Kenya. Or maybe a spot of Nile Perch fishing in the distant waters of Lake Turkana or the vastness of Lake Victoria. Kenya’s deep sea fishing is legendary with great Marlin, Sailfish and Tuna regularly caught. In fact one of the latest adventures is taking me to the mighty Congo river in search of the elusive Goliath Tigerfish… watch this space.
